The corners of any cube are the most vulnerable part. This is why Star Case treats the 8 corners with such attention to detail. Our corners are protected with heavy gauge steel knuckled ball corners. Our exclusive 'step-down' design makes the steel corners ride flush with the case surface thus reducing likelihood of snags and pulls when subjected to rough handling. The ball shape allows the entire case to ride approximately 1/4" off ground surface and also serve as shock absorbers. Each corner is fastened permanently with 6 pneumatically driven rivets backed with metal washers inside the case. Smooth nickel plating eliminated galvanic reactions from contacting dissimilar metals. Stacking versions of this corners are available at nominal additional cost. |
