Containers designed in a custom design fashion, some with air tight and water tight seals. Our Embarc case line is built to stringent military specifications for weapons packaging, specialty packaging, deployable workstations, etc. Star Shipping Cases are built in strict compliance with the ATA (Air Transport Association of America) Specification 300, category 1 parameters. We offer shockmount cases that, if the project requires, have cushioning skid mates integral with the design. These special Skid-Mate cushions provide a donut-shaped cushion for exterior case protection.
Star ATA Cases are typified by custom cushioning of specially foam fabricated linings and blocking. This treatment conforms to specialty applications that meets even the specialized military pallet cushioning requirements. This dampening protection is characterized by polyethalene spacer pallet discs that, if so equipped, also protect the flangemount single lid or double entry shock-mounted customized mobile workstations. Some manufacturers refer to this as Prorack.
Star Case 19" EIA rackmounts are ideal as sample cases or as electronic instrument cases. Rackmount cases are often referred to as transit cases, operations cases, ATA cases or flight packs. We also offer photo cases, circuit board cases, computer cases, rotationally molded cases, workstation cases, monitor cases and some soft-sided cases.
Computer cases, workstation cases, monitor cases, printer cases, scanner cases and combination cases are just a few of the case types our Computer Products Division have to offer in the way of transport cases, sample cases, transit cases and rackmount designs.
Carrying Cases defines all those cases that won't end up in the hands of a common carrier or baggage handler. In other words, if the case is to be handled exclusively by its owner, all that's really needed is a carry case, custom carry case, customized carrying case, carry-on case, carry-on bag or personal luggage. Of course, we also offer the industries most in-depth selection of custom shipping cases, transport cases, custom designed cases and rackmounts, computer containers, instrument cases and containers, and roll-about, grab-n-roll speedster cases.
Star Cases are most often referred to generically as custom cases. Custom Cases refers to all the computer carrying and shipping cases we offer as well as mobile computing portable computer cases, notebook computer cases, laptop cases, and other varying forms of protective case luggage, valice, trunk, or transporter.
Electronic equipment cases are designed to protect and transport all those items that loosely are called electronic equipment. These include, but are not limited to medical instruments, analytical devices, test instruments, video equipment, audio devices and audio equipment, medical analyzers, photographic equipment, rackmount components, rackmount devices, EIA rack components, and any other device requiring and electrical current to operate.
Traveling musicians have depended on custom shipping and transit cases, primarily of the reusable variety for years. Favorites of today's musicians are musical instrument cases, guitar cases, keyboard cases, stringed instrument cases, marching band cases, drum cases, lighting cases, trap cases, rackmount cases, rack cases, rack enclosures, sheet music cases, cable cases, road cases, flight cases, tool cases, work trunks, and the all too famous MSB box.
Reusable cases employ numerous means for opening, closing and operating. Things such as nylon, Velcro, shoulder straps, zippers, steel recessed hardware, surface mounted hardware, aluminum extrusions, aluminum tongue and groove valance closures, and numerous types of fasteners, rivets, screws, bolts, nuts and adhesives go into literally every Star Case reusable case.
Shockmounted rack cases are exceedingly popular at Star Case. Our shockmount design also applies to circuit board cases, defense contractor shock mounted cases as well. Some Star Cases of the A.T.A. variety are utility in nature and might have ABS or fiberglass outer laminates. They might also have air breather valves that are often called pressure relief valves. We can even produce and offer haz-mat containers (hazardous material), Ethafoam interiors, cross die cut polyethalene foam interiors, cross linked polyethalene foam, urethane foam, anti-static foam materials, wooden crates, and CF foam interiors. All these materials suffice excellently as a shock isolating medium.
In addition to 19 inch rackmount cases, Star Case also offers air-tight battery cases, boating boxes, camera bags, collimated compact computer cases, confined space containers, corrosion resistant cases, diving cases, dual dustproof cases, EMS cases, and EMT cases.
Star Case offers numerous types of molded cases. These include but are not limited to rotationally molded cases, injection molded cases, blow molded cases, pressure formed cases, vacuum formed cases and other types. Some are foam filled with layered polyester foam layers, 1" or 2" layers) and some are filled with diced pick n' pluck foam. Some include handy straps for shoulder carrying and all are equipped with comfortable carrying handles and locks. Color of these cases is typically black but don't hesitate to inquire regarding other colors.
Star Case Aluminum Cases are in both varieties - carry cases and shipping cases. Our carrying case line includes attache cases, briefcases, firearms cases, tools cases, handgun cases, pilots cases, utility cases, foam-filled cases, cases with diced pick n' pluck foam, shoulder straps, combination locks, tongue-in-groove valance closures, fanfold document pouches, key locks and elegant, handsome good looks. Our ATA-type aluminum shipping cases are available in several sizes, have .060" outer wave form aluminum laminate over 1/4" (7mm) plywood walls, recessed, spring-loaded twist catches, latches, recessed, rubber-gripped handles and full length piano-type hinges.
Star Case offers video cases to satisfy camera, editor, monitor, receiver, wireless sound system, VCR, portable editor, lighting, VTR, ENG, EFP and portable applications. Our cases, foot lockers, steamers and heavy duty wheel cases and containers might include tool pallets, removable or permanent partitions, ball-bearing equipped heavy-duty casters and wheels. Some are custom or made to order special designs while others are standard, stock designs ready for immediate shipment.
Our line of tradeshow and exhibit cases conform to many of the descriptions listed here. Each case is typified by hundreds of different materials such as Lexan, leather, Plexiglass, nylon, ABS plastic, stucco finish fiberglass, aluminum, poly and Etha foams, split steel bifurcated rivets, blind pop rivets, anodized mill finish aluminum, zinc plated steel hardware, ballistic nylon materials, runners, gussets, reinforcements, corner clamps, shoulder clamps, ball corners, steel knuckled ball corners, stacking options, removable and permanently installed casters, both locking, and non-locking varieties as well as rigid, static casters.
These are some of our most popular cases. LCD flat panel displays from companies such as Sony, NEC, Viewsonic, Samsung, Hitachi, Mitsubishi, Dell, Compaq, Gateway and IBM are always available. These cases are most often ordered with our Corporate Case Cart Option that is otherwise known as a Speedster option or Grab n' Roll option. The displays are packaged in soft polyester foam material specially cut to capture the sides only of the flat panel LCD display. The front and back of the display does not contact the foam material. Sometimes, we capture the larger displays with webbed belts and use special canvas covering over the foam blocking to preclude damage to sensitive surfaces.
While our full line of flight cases are characterized by all the aforementioned heavy duty descriptions, they are not typified by use of corrugated materials and other features that would preclude international, national, or overseas truck, plane, ship, train or other common carrier handling. While our flight cases are incredibly tough and resilient, they, like just about anything, are not indestructible. Our intention is build a case that will fail at a given point as an alternative to the cases contents being damaged. If the case survives an exceptional trauma and the case contents are destroyed - we haven't done our job very effectively. We'll always strive to produce a reinforced, lightweight, incredible strong container to meet your every need.
Some Star Cases, primarily our Star Light and Carry Light lines, feature fluted Corrulite-like HDPE panels as their outer walls. These cases have interiors identical to all other Star Cases including Cordura materials, polyurethane foam, polyester foam, ester foams, padding, cushioning, padded corners, and foam padding strategically placed to provide the most effective cushioning. This is true of our ATA shipping cases, ATA flight packs and ATA flight cases as well as our multimedia projector cases, video and teleproduction product cases, computer cases, medical instrument cases, electronic device containers and rackmount enclosures.
Cases ofr all audio visual and multimedia applications are very popular. We offer wheeled cases, tilt and go cases, grab n' roll cases, speedster cases, all with retractable, telescopic tow handles, recessed heavy-duty wheels or full sets of heavy-duty swivel locking or non-locking casters. Some cases are available as bags, all are American made and conform to all VGA, SVGA, GXA, SXGA and other related specification parameters.
