Our clients stipulate numerous guidelines, information and requirements that the finished rackmount enclosure must meet.   Following is a brief listing of those guidelines and requirements we take into consideration for every custom Star Case rackmount case we design and build:

A listing of all components to be rackmounted, their height and their maximum depth including cable protrusions.
The intended travel schedule and means of transit anticipated..
All items within the rackmount case must be securely fastened in precisely installed and positioned EIA compliant rack rails.
System components must be arranged in a sensible fashion keeping heavier weight components below center of gravity.
System must be thoroughly operable from within its inner rack shell to economize operators time and enhance ease of use.
System must be able to withstand excessive airline and common carrier transit.

The Result:
A custom F4-style (shockmounted front and rear removable lid) design case.  Custom shockmount rack cases are available in all Star Case types for 1/8" outer wall thickness to 1/2" outer wall thickness.  We've designed and built custom rack cases with payloads in excess of $500,000.00 so extra care is always taken in distributing individual components to create proper balance and distribution while maintaining intelligent component positioning for operator use.  All components, hardware, foam grades, and extrusions are of the highest strength. Rackmounts are available with optional keyboard/mouse trays, drawers, platforms, partitions, front & rear rack rails, table legs in lids, ventilation porting, numerous locking options, cable access ports, etc.
