 Elastomeric Isolation

Elastomeric isolation mounts cost less than $10.00 each, yet are high tech devices that can be integrated into rack case and custom case design to achieve vibration free results. They can also be used to achieve shock & vibration isolation for individual components, shelves, drawers, and entire assemblies of equipment when mounted in mobile vehicles such as those used for field broadcast use, military applications and situations inherent to seismic environments. They're inexpensive, simply but intelligently designed, highly effective and incredibly rugged.

Overview:
Help sensitive equipment defend against high-impact shocks through utilization of Star Case elastomeric shock isolation mounts.
They're rugged and versatile and control vibration and interrupt
structure-originating noise. Specifications: Under normal loading conditions, they exhibit natural frequencies of approximately 25 Hz and isolate disturbing frequencies above 35 Hz. Oil resistant standard isolation mounts operate over a temperature range of –20ºF to +180ºF. Installation: View 2-A shows top side of isolation mount that attaches to equipment in need of shock isolation. View 2-B shows bottom side of isolation mount that attaches to rigid substrate. Each isolation mount has a through center hole with 1/4-20 thread size. Isolation mounts are manufactured of cold rolled steel (zinc plated) and a neoprene elastomer. Construction: These elastomeric shock isolators are compact, low-profile, and incorporate interlocking components of steel and neoprene elastomers. They are ideal for mounting equipment in compression, shear and tension applications. Regardless of how the mount is oriented or the load is positioned, the elastomer is in compression. Great resistance to severe shock makes these shock isolation mounts ideal for protecting sensitive equipment on rough-terrain vehicles, shipboard equipment, shipping cases and containers, and both aircraft, naval and military applications. |
