1RU-6RU steel or 2RU-4RU aluminum rackmount drawers. Cantilever design shelf available in 19" (17-1/2" useable) or 25" (22-3/4" useable) width. Both occupy 2 rack units of space and are 14-3/4" deep. Weight capacity is 50 pounds. Fixed shelves serve as an excellent means for mounting non-rackmountable components such as tower or desktop CPU's, audio components, video recorders, etc. The expandable shelf conforms to all standard 19" EIA rack enclosures, cases, cabinets and frames from Star Case as well as other OEM vendors. 4 each 10-32 x 5/8" steel mounting screws are included. Rack Fasteners ranging in price from $1.95 to $19.95, depending on quantity purchased, are available in numerous different rack fastener lengths and rack fastener screw types and tip styles. We offer the most popular 10-32, 5/8" long pan head rack fasteners with popular philips head in both a 10 pack and a 100 pack. Both packs include an equivalent number of cup washers to protect your component face panels. The Cross Brace option for your steel or aluminum rack is engineered to provide added structural strength & integrity to your rack structure.

Note that the four Cross Braces included in the box have a slightly different appearance at both ends.  One end is blunt while the opposite end is pointed. (see Fig. 1)

When installing your cross braces, make sure the pointed end of each brace is screw fastened to the top & bottom (depth) rack rails. (See detail 1 in Fig. 2).

The blunt end of each cross brace screw fastens to the rack rails running from top to bottom (height rails) of your rack.  (See detail 2 in Fig. 2).
