With our Pre-Pack Steel & Aluminum Rack Kit rack rail sets, we offer 40 different lengths ranging from4RU (7") to 45RU (78-3/4") in two hole pattern configurations; steel or aluminum rails with dual 10-32 tapped holes in EIA spacing on both rail legs, or steel rails with 10-32 tapped holes on one leg and 3/8" square holes on the opposing leg.

With our Pre-Pack Steel & Aluminum Rack Kit rack rail sets,
rack rails must extend into and
be securely fastened to the 8 cast connecting corners. The
graphic to the right explains how this will effect the length of
the rails you purchase. Height rails are 2RU (3-1/2") longer than the amount of component mounting space they will render, i.e., see graphic at right. A set of height rails such as our part number RFC35RU, are actually 64-3/4" (37RU) in length, but will yield 2 RU (3-1/2") less vertical component mounting space, or 61-1/4" (35RU). Note in graphic at right how a set of part number RFC08RU rails, 17-1/2" (8RU) in length, yield the standard EIA 19" width (18-3/8" hole center-to-center.) |

With our Universal Steel Rack Rail we offer 43 different lengths ranging from 2RU (3-1/2") to 45RU (78-3/4") in three hole pattern configurations. Our L-Series steel rails have 10-32 tapped holes on a 3/4" leg and 9/32" untapped holes on the opposing 1-1/4" leg. Our U-Series steel rails have 10-32 tapped holes on a 1" leg and 9/32" untapped holes on the opposing 1" leg. Our Z-Series steel rails have dual facing 3/8" square holes on a 3/4" leg with a 2-1/8" connecting leg with 9/32" untapped holes.
By using the Electronics' Industry Alliance (E.I.A.) standard 1-3/4 inch increment, repeating hole pattern, also commonly referred to as a "RACK SPACE" or "RACK UNIT", you have a wide range of sizes available to fit many diverse component configurations.
