1. What is the fragility of your rack mountable components?
a. For equipment with more fragility, i.e., hard drives, video monitors, and components with moving parts, we recommend our rack mount component case styles that provide a foam lined case enclosure around an inner rack shell. b. For equipment with lower fragility, fewer moving parts or a less rigorous travel schedule, a foam lined outer case enclosure can be bypassed. For these less demanding requirements, we recommend Star Case EIA Rack Mountable Component Case Styles F1, F5, and F6.
c. For equipment that is not intended to travel - rather is to be used in a studio or static environment, consider a rack shell only.
