Pop Rivet Primer |

Star Case offers a useful rivet kit that meets all the specifcations and sizes listed below. We also offer a high quality hand rivet tool to make your Star Case repair as simple as possible. The rivet kit includes 20 each of all 4 rivet sizes and 80 backing washers. Click here to go to the Star Case hardware store. These fasteners are also readily available at most hardware stores if you so choose. |
When shopping for pop rivets and backing washers look for high quality aluminum open-ended pop rivets with steel mandrels and steel backing washers. Use the chart below to select the proper size rivets and backing washers. Note - the same size backing washer can be used for all rivets.

Pop Rivet Installation Instructions: |

| 1. |

First, pre-drill a 3/16" hole to accept rivet. |
| 2. |

Next, drop rivet of proper length (see chart above) through pre-drilled hole. |

Finally, place backing washer over rivet head from inside the case. Slide rivet mandrel into rivet tool and squeeze until mandrel separates from rivet. This forces expansion of the rivet body. |
