Environmental Extremes Shipments Must Contend WithThe environment poses one of the greatest challenges for equipment being shipped by air, land & sea. Star Cases have been subjected to some of the most demanding test procedures imaginable simulating literally all types of weather extremes imaginable. TEMPERATURE Star Cases are subjected to tests at temperatures ranging from -50° Fahrenheit to nearly +200° Fahrenheit. Then, within 5-10 second increments, they undergo temperature shock tests simulating movement from a cold weather extreme of 50° F below zero to a hot weather extreme approaching 200° F. Then, they're tested for strength, integrity and temperature degradation. MOISTURE Star Cases are tested in chambers simulating severe humidity environments such as the Amazon jungle during monsoon season. They undergo water spray tests simulating a driving rain storm. Then, they're tested for water resistance and moisture damage. WIND & DUST Star Cases are tested for sustained periods under conditions simulating high wind and dust conditions. Star Cases must isolate the interior against dust invasion. Then, they're tested for a tight seal and dust invasion. FUNGUS Star Cases are tested against the eroding effects of various fungus types. Star Cases must not sustain any type of fungus growth or propagation. Then, they're tested for the existence of any life forms, both inside and out. They're frozen - they're thawed, they're cooked - they're cooled, they're humidified - they're dusted, winded and asked to support life. How better to be confident you're getting the best product protection available! Star Case goes to every extreme to shield your products and equipment from the harsh effects of the environment. |
