ship products safely by way of common carriers. Hint #1 - How do I lock my Star Cases if I forgot to order optional locking devices built-in to the cases? We offer numerous types and descriptions of optional locking devices on Star Cases, however, if none were ordered, you still have a few options. On Star Cases with recessed heavy-duty hardware, you needn't worry about accidental opening of your case while in transit. The spring-loaded twist catch mechanism is more than sufficient to keep your case safely closed. To further protect your case contents, you might try using heavy-duty nylon cable ties, looped through the hole in the twist catch butterfly and the spring mechanism beneath it. This way, a special tool (a very sharp razor or knife) must still be used to gain access to your case. Remember, cases with removable lids will need at least two catches secured, one per side. At a convenient time for you, we'd be glad to arrange a retrofit to your case of any of our lock options. Call first however for a Return Authorization (RA) number and quote. Hint #2 - How do I clean gummy shipping labels from the stucco finish fiberglass surface of Star Cases? The fiberglass laminate used as an outer skin on Star Cases is impervious to just about all common cleansers and solvents. Don't forget, Star Case does not use ABS plastic as a laminate for this precise reason. Star Cases can easily be cleaned and brought back to their original 'sparkling' appearance with a soft rag and any cleaning solvent. Hint #3 - Without defining what the contents are of my cases, how can I help insure against undue mishandling of my cases?
